Compostable material texture

The science behind the bag.

Every Bag To Nature bag is made with a certified biopolymer blend — BPI & BNQ Certified and tested to ASTM D6400.

What is our material?

Our material is a high-performance compostable blend. It is a blend of two components.

PBAT (Polybutylene Adipate Terephthalate)

A flexible, biodegradable polymer that gives the bags their strength, stretch, and leak resistance.

PLA (Polylactic Acid)

A plant-derived bioplastic made from renewable resources like corn starch.

Together, they create a material that performs like conventional plastic but biodegrades completely under industrial composting conditions.

Premium Plant-Based Quality

The foundation of our compostable bags begins with high-grade bioplastic resin. These plant-derived materials are precisely engineered to create a durable, tear-resistant film that is strong, leak-proof, and reliable — without the lasting environmental impact.

Our Certifications — Explained

BPI Certified Logo

BPI Certified

BPI (Biodegradable Products Institute) is North America's most recognized and trusted compostability certifier. BPI Certified products have been independently reviewed and confirmed to meet compostability standards accepted by municipal programs across Canada and the USA.
