We make a range of compostable bags for home and outdoor use — including Small Kitchen Bags, Tall Kitchen Bags, Lawn and Leaf Bags, and Value Pack bulk options. All products are BPI Certified and made with BASF ecovio®.
Our bags are made with BASF ecovio® — a blend of ecoflex® (PBAT) and PLA (polylactic acid). It is a certified plant-based material that breaks down fully under industrial composting conditions.
Yes. BagToNature bags offer the same puncture resistance and leak protection as conventional plastic bags. They are designed to handle food scraps, wet waste, and heavy yard debris without tearing or leaking.
Under industrial composting conditions, BagToNature bags break down within weeks — leaving no plastic residue and no microplastics.
Our bags are certified for industrial composting — the conditions in a home backyard compost bin are typically not sufficient. We recommend placing them in your municipal green bin program. Check with your local municipality to confirm acceptance.
Yes. All BagToNature bags are BPI Certified — meaning they have been independently tested and passed the ASTM D6400 standard, the industry benchmark for compostable plastics.
ASTM D6400 is the industry-standard testing process used to certify compostable plastics. It measures whether a product biodegrades fully within a set timeframe under industrial composting conditions without leaving harmful residue. BPI Certified means our bags have passed this test.
No. BagToNature bags are engineered for the same performance as conventional plastic — leak-proof and odour-resistant under normal use.
